Avanti Launches Custom Groups Department

What
Avanti Destinations recently announced the launch of a Custom Groups department at the tour operator that can create customized arrangements for groups of 15 to 100 traveling to one or more destinations that Avanti sells in Europe, Asia or Central and South America.

Why It Matters
The move makes booking large groups with Avanti, which sells exclusively through travel agents, much easier for advisors. In addition, Avanti has only handled small groups under 16 passengers — primarily family and friends traveling together — until now. The new department will construct custom itineraries for almost any type of group that agents book, including sports teams, volunteer groups, special-interest groups and more.

What They Are Saying
“Because every group has their own idea of what they want to do and where they want to go, I see our Custom Groups department as an extension of our brand of independent travel, where no two Avanti vacations are the same”, said Paul Barry, executive chairman for Avanti. “Avanti’s staff has tremendous in-depth destination knowledge and has handled hundreds of small, 10-16 passenger groups over the years. With our ability to seamlessly connect multiple destinations, we’ve simply extended the scope of our services.”
