WhatFamilies with children between the ages of 7 and 17 are the focus of new tours from G Adventures and National Geographic. These tours, called National Geographic Family Journeys with G Adventures, include 12 small-group departures beginning in 2020.
Why It MattersAdvisors now have more opportunities to book active travel for families at a time when both the adventure and multigenerational travel markets are booming. And because these tours are offered through a partnership between two trusted names in travel, they can feel confident that their clients — and their kiddos — will be well-cared-for.

What They Are Saying“This new program of trips is perfect for adventure-loving families who are looking to discover the world together,” said Ben Perlo, U.S. Managing Director G Adventures. “The newly designed itineraries have been developed from scratch to inspire travelers of all ages to experience each destination’s diverse characteristics, from wildlife and conservation, to history and culture, plus exploration, photography and storytelling.”
“All our groups are made up of an international mix of travelers, giving families the opportunity to connect not just with each other, but with their fellow travelers and the local people they meet along the way,” Perlo added. “As is the case with all G Adventures tours, we encourage interactions with local people, and ensure as much money as possible stays in the communities we visit.”
