What:African Travel, Inc., has launched African Travel University, an online training initiative that will educate travel agents in selling the tour operator’s products. The program includes information regarding itineraries, marketing incentives, exclusive offers and more.
Why It Matters:Two courses are currently available as of May 30. The first course covers the company’s destinations, different travel styles and the overall safari experience, while the second offers insight into finding the right clients as well as matching them to specific, ideal destinations. Upon program completion, advisors will become certified African Travel Specialists and can earn “Safari Bucks” (available until June 30) toward a fam trip; certification is now required to qualify for such a trip.
