What
In conjunction with The Travel Institute’s Promote Your Professionalism monthlong event in July, the organization is unveiling new programs for advisors, such as an enhanced Certified Travel Associate course and Digital Credentials, an online validation tool for certified graduates.

Why It Matters
Savvy travel advisors looking to take their training to the next level would do well to take advantage of these new resources from The Travel Institute. Bonus: In addition to the new tools, students will have access to free interactive professional development webinars and scholarship opportunities throughout July.

Fast Facts
- TI’s enhanced CTA course uses a new platform that features an interactive user interface, refreshed graphics, dynamic learning tools and responsive design.

- New “Digital Credentials” allow consumers, colleagues and the industry at large to easily confirm the validity of certification through TI.

- All interactive webinars throughout July are free, but advanced registration is required, and availability is limited.

- These webinars and weekly communications are all focused on professional development, branding and differentiating yourself. Sessions include: “How to Be Magnetic Online,” and “How to Promote Your Value Using Social Media,” among others.

- Interested advisors can apply for TI scholarships online, and may qualify to receive 50% in savings, up to $275 off standard pricing.

What They Are Saying
“We anticipate a record number of applicants again this year, given the marketability and portability of our certifications and the importance of agent differentiation in an industry with widely varying, difficult-to-discern agent capabilities,” said Diane Petras, CTIE and president of The Travel Institute. “Our annual scholarship program is one of our most visible and far-reaching commitments to the vitality and future of our industry.”

“I can’t stress the importance and success rate of this program after completion,” said Rowanne Gallo, CTC for Globetrotters, Ltd. “My agency’s bookings and revenue increased exponentially.
