What
TravelAge West and Travel Weekly have joined forces to launch “Trade Secrets,” a co-branded podcast that tackles travel advisors’ questions surrounding their businesses, industry trends, social media, professional development issues and more — all with the help of a veteran travel advisor. The podcast, which will be released twice per month beginning Feb. 22, will be led by co-hosts Emma Weissmann and Jamie Biesiada, senior editors of TravelAge West and Travel Weekly, respectively.
Why It Matters
Advisors are encouraged to tune into Trade Secrets’ first episode, which features insight from travel industry veteran Sally Black, founder of Vacationkids in Kunkletown, Penn. The conversation tackles a travel advisor’s question about COVID-19 testing and vaccination requirements, along with how to best approach clients who may be hesitant to travel right now.
During a time when the adage, “We’re all in this together” couldn’t be more apt, this new podcast will provide a unique platform for the travel trade to tap into their collective shared experiences in order to help their fellow advisors succeed. Travel advisors are encouraged to submit their questions in writing or via a voice recording to [email protected].
Trade Secrets will give us a new way to connect and interact with our core audience, travel advisors. I’m particularly excited to give them a place to turn to for advice, especially at such a pivotal time in the travel industry and for the trade.
