What: Wheel the World Launches a New Partnership With Holland America Line

Wheel the World (WTW), an online booking company targeting clients with disabilities, seniors and their families, recently partnered with Holland America Line to offer a fully accessible cruise. The eight-day itinerary through Alaska’s Inside Passage takes place onboard Koningsdam, with several departures offered throughout 2023.

Why It Matters: The New Itinerary Will Empower Cruisers With Accessibility Needs

Very few suppliers cater to this underserved market of travelers, who make up about 15% of the world’s population and have approximately $13 trillion in disposable income, according to WTW. This partnership with Holland America Line is a critical step toward making accessible travel available and as worry-free as possible. And travel advisors who book a cruise with Wheel the World can be confident that every part of the experience has been vetted for clients, from wheelchair accessibility and adaptive equipment availability to information on staff training and stateroom measurements.

Fast Facts: Wheel the World’s Supplier Vetting System Provides Key Information to Travelers

- WTW’s team conducted a mapping trip on Holland America’s Koningsdam ship, so travelers know what to expect onboard. This Accessibility Mapping System includes information on staff training, wheelchair accessibility, ramp access, adaptive equipment availability, bed height and room measurements.

- The company expects to expand its cruise program to include additional cruise lines and destinations.

- WTW offers clients accessible itineraries in more than 175 destinations worldwide.

- This year, WTW introduced its new Travel Agent Affiliate Program.

What They Are Saying: This Partnership Opens the Door for Clients Interested in Accessible Cruising

“Our clients have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of our first cruise itineraries,” said Alvaro Silberstein, co-founder and CEO of Wheel the World. “Booking a cruise with Wheel the World gives travelers with disabilities, seniors and their families peace of mind that their cruise experience will meet their accessibility needs, so they can relax and enjoy their time on and off the ship.”
