ALG Vacations Announces ALGVPro Specialist Program in Spanish

ALG Vacations (ALGV) has announced the expansion of its ALGVPro Travel Advisor Specialist Program — a Spanish-language version of the on-demand education platform is now available. The launch comes in response to growing demand from Spanish-speaking travel advisors, demonstrating ALGV’s aim to support a diverse advisor community.

Our Analysis: Supporting a Growing Demographic Opens Doors for Business

According to Pew Research Center data, the U.S. Hispanic population reached 68 million in 2024 (almost double the 35.3 million reported in 2000) and 68% of the group reported speaking Spanish at home. As the Latino population has grown, it stands to reason that more Spanish speakers have entered the travel trade; having a Spanish-language offering opens doors for advisor engagement and boosts agents’ ability to create and sell memorable client experiences. With its new program, ALGV is setting the bar for accessibility, and for acknowledging and responding to an increasingly diverse marketplace.

- ALGVPro offers short learning modules, and advisors can follow recommended education paths or chart their own course.

- The Spanish-language version of ALGVPro provides the same training experience as the English program.

- Users are also able to build itineraries; manage and modify reservations; maximize commissions, rewards and benefits; leverage ALGV tools and programs for business growth; and book and manage group travel.

- Upon completion of the program, advisors earn ALGVPro certification; this comes with a range of benefits, including eligibility for fam trips and Ascend Conference attendance.

What They Are Saying: The New Training Removes Barriers and Supports Advisor Success

“At ALG Vacations, we are committed to supporting a diverse and evolving community of travel advisors,” said Jacki Marks, global head of trade sales and engagement. “Expanding ALGVPro into Spanish is an important step in making our education platform more accessible, while empowering more advisors to build confidence, increase sales and deliver exceptional experiences for their clients.”

Jim Tedesco, vice president of sales for ALGV, seconded the importance of the expansion, especially given ALGV’s growth in the West.

“This launch is especially meaningful as we continue to expand in key regions across the U.S.,” Tedesco said. “We recognize that many of our agency partners prefer to train in Spanish, and by offering ALGVPro in Spanish, we’re removing barriers and ensuring more advisors can fully leverage our tools to grow their business with confidence.”
