An Update on Fairmont Hotels' Restoration Efforts

May 08, 2016
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts continues to upgrade its North American portfolio with a number of different restoration projects either completed or currently underway. The upgrades include the recently restored Claremont Club & Spa in December 2015; the completion of the third and final phase of Hamilton Princess & Beach Club’s $100 million renovation in June; and the closure of The Queen Elizabeth Hotel this summer to make way for improvements such as additional suites and a new restaurant, which will debut in the summer of 2017. Other notable projects include the $27 million renovation of the 415-room Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown and the $75 million lobby-to-roof restoration of Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. Over the past few years, Fairmont has renovated or restored more than 80 percent of its North American portfolio.
