Gaylord’s at Kilohana, a longtime favorite for Kauai diners, has reopened under new management. Chef Jonathan Pflueger is infusing Pacific Rim, French and northern Italian influences into his dishes while working with ingredients grown on the surrounding 105-acre Kilohana estate, plus fresh local meat and seafood. Menu highlights include tropical mojitos, seasoned ahi poke with plantain chips served in a sliced-open coconut and seared filet mignon with gorgonzola ravioli.
Enhancing the overall dining experience is the historic allure of the al fresco venue, a charming courtyard in a renovated plantation manor. The restaurant’s new look includes a dance floor, bandstand and additional ground lighting.
