Las Ventanas al Paraiso, A Rosewood Resort, specializes in romance — whether for honeymoons, weddings or proposals. And now that wedding season is in full swing, it’s the perfect time for lovebirds to flock to this five-star property, where Claudia Palma, director of romance, is a mastermind at guaranteeing that fateful “I do.”

What sparked your interest in the travel industry?
For me, working in the travel industry is just as rewarding as travel itself. I love getting to know my guests and creating breathtaking itineraries that are tailored to their personal interests. With the help of the talented staff here, I have the opportunity to give guests a little taste of paradise and to craft real-life fairytales through unforgettable, romantic moments.

What does a typical day at the resort look like?
Every day is different. Throughout the day I am meeting with guests to plan all sorts of romantic gestures, ranging from private beachside dinners to over-the-top marriage proposals. With every consultation, I try to gain an in-depth understanding of what the guests want and try to spark their imagination with inventive ideas and possibilities.

Do you have a favorite proposal story?
One of the most touching proposals I witnessed took place after an exquisite dinner on a rooftop terrace under the stunning Los Cabos stars. Once the meal finished, a waiter approached the couple holding a small box. When the woman opened the gift, she found a remote inside with a large button on it. She pressed the button and, to her surprise, the entire sky exploded into a spectacular array of fireworks. Mesmerized, she stood up, and when she turned to her partner, he was down on one knee.

What should agents know about booking their clients at Las Ventanas al Paraiso?
We aim to create lasting impressions and unforgettable memories for our guests through dedicated attention to detail and a series of ultra-luxurious amenities. Instead of arriving to a check-in desk and computer, guests are personally received, served a margarita and shown to their suites. Through these personalized touches, we hope to transport guests to their own earthly paradise.
