How long have you been in business and how long have you been working with agents? We have been in the travel business for over 25 years as a travel wholesaler specializing in travel to China. We have been working with agents for over 10 years.
What specific steps will Panda Travel USA Tours be taking to expand its clientele during 2008?
One thing we plan to do is work with tourism destinations, hotels, travel agencies and tourism administrations from 12 western China provinces to reach agreements to hold tourism exhibitions in the U.S. We’ll also be organizing fam trips for U.S. travel agents and taking part in various festivals. We also plan to conduct China travel seminars to introduce tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants, cuisine, culture, local products and traditional art to American audiences. Through advertising, we also hope to introduce western China tour packages, World Cultural Heritage Sites, dining, lodging, transportation, shopping and entertainment opportunities.
In short, we’re going to provide travel agents with plenty of opportunities for them to learn about western China.
How will these steps encourage bookings from the U.S. and what benefits can agents gain from booking through Panda USA Tours?
Through these steps, we hope to expose the world-class tour resources and the splendid historic and cultural heritage of western China to American audiences. Two-thirds of the World Cultural Heritage Sites of China are located in the country’s 12 western provinces. Western China tour packages are in-depth journeys, which have enormous growth potential and unique charm. The commissions are also generous.
Do you have any special trips agents should be on the lookout for?
Actually, we will be sending select travel agents to attend annual celebrations and festivals in western China, such as the Sichuan Jiuzhaigou International Cultural Tourism Festival; the Tibet Shoton Festival; the Guilin Cultural Tourism Festival; and the China Three Gorges International Tourism Festival.
