Marriott has officially announced the U.S. debut of Moxy Hotels, a contemporary lifestyle brand aimed at high-performing urban markets and millennial travelers.
U.S. locations are slated for San Francisco, Seattle, New Orleans, Chicago and New York City, which will be home to three properties. The first Moxy hotel opened last fall in Milan, and additional European properties are in the works for Munich, Frankfurt and Eschborn, Germany, as well as London.
The lobby of every Moxy property will act as a tech-filled social hub, offering Wi-Fi access, ample power outlets for personal devices, 24/7 grab-and-go food options and the Moxy Digital Guestbook, which streams videos and pictures via Instagram. Guestrooms will also appeal to technophiles, thanks to keyless entry, screencasting capabilities and motion-sensor lighting.
