To celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, The Travel Institute has reinvented the curriculums for its CTC and CTIE certification programs. The programs feature a new online platform and fresh, innovative content to supply busy agents and executives with the tools and information they need in an engaging way. Both the CTC and CTIE programs offer interactive online courses that feature a combination of core classes, audio podcasts and interviews and white papers for further reference.
The CTC program helps travel professionals develop their skill sets and hone an area of expertise. In addition to 10 core classes for the CTC program, students choose from 12-15 classes within a particular major: marketing, management, communication, personal development and sales and customer relationships.
Meanwhile, The CTIE program also offers 10 core courses, but the curriculum focuses on leadership skills and incorporates interviews with leadership figures from within the travel industry and beyond. Among the spokespeople for leadership videos are Colin Powell and Jim Collins, author of “Great by Choice.”
The Travel Institute is also launching a quarterly newsletter to supplement its certification programs and provide agents with valuable insights from leaders in the travel industry. www.thetravelinstitute.com
