The new 4-D Experience at the Vancouver Aquarium is a cinematic adventure offering a three-dimensional movie presentation as well as sensory effects such as wind, mist, scents and dramatic lighting.
Now playing is “Planet Earth: Shallow Seas.” The 15-minute film allows viewers to experience the power of the ocean. Visitors hear crashing waves along the shoreline and feel the salty spray of the ocean as they surf with bottlenose dolphins, glide with sea lions and dive through swirling bait balls of anchovy. The film also tracks a mother humpback whale and her calf in the Arctic Circle and shows one of the largest gathering of seabirds and whales captured on film.
The 4-D Experience is included with admission to the Vancouver Aquarium where guests can also view beluga whales, sea otters, dolphins, sea turtles and more. Visitors can even explore the Amazon at the new Amazon birds exhibit.
Fall admission rates are $21 per adult; $16 for children ages 13-18; and $13 for children ages 4-12. Children under age 4 are free.
