What:
From now until Sept. 28, XL Airways will offer three weekly flights from Los Angeles to Paris using Airbus A330 aircraft.
Why It Matters:
The French carrier is looking to match the success it’s seen in its three other U.S. gateways: New York, Miami and San Francisco. The addition of Los Angeles as a gateway shows confidence in the strength of international travel, and travel to Paris in particular. Despite its reputation as a low-cost carrier, XL Airways’ flights include one checked bag, a hot meal and a snack.
Fast Facts:
- Passengers seeking a more exclusive experience can opt for Premium Galaxy class and enjoy comfortable reclining seats at the front of the aircraft, top-notch cuisine with premium wines and personal entertainment on Samsung tablets.
- Prior to this flight, XL Airways already operated up to 16 weekly flights to/from JFK, MIA and SFO.
- Travel agents may book XL Airways in any GDS (SE/473) or via its website.
