Alaska Airlines has announced a new partnership with Brandon Jew, the acclaimed James Beard and Michelin-Star awarded chef. Jew, who is the executive chef/owner of San Francisco’s Mister Jiu’s, Moongate Lounge and Mamahuhu, has curated a special menu for Alaska Airlines’ First Class passengers traveling between San Francisco and New York.

The exclusive menu will be available starting August 28th and features dishes inspired by traditional Chinese cuisine with a contemporary twist. The menu reflects a blend of Chinese American flavors, incorporating seasonal ingredients from the Bay Area and New York.

Menu highlights include a brown rice congee with soy-cured eggs and braised pork belly, accompanied by turnip cake, pickled cauliflower, hoisin and hot chili sauce (served for breakfast, both flight directions). For lunch or dinner (from SFO only), guests might try a Liberty Farms braised duck leg with sesame egg noodles and gai lan, served with wood ear mushrooms, tofu skin and cucumbers. Those flying from New York City can enjoy roasted black cod topped with ginger-scallion sauce, silken tofu and mapo sauce, served on a quinoa and farro blend with roasted shiitake mushrooms.

"We’re grateful to Chef Jew for his partnership in this exciting initiative and ongoing commitment to elevate the travel experience for our guests with sky-high hospitality and world-class cuisine,” said Todd Traynor-Corey, managing director of guest products at Alaska Airlines. “Our relationship with Chef Jew traces back several years ago, including working together to give back to the residents of San Francisco’s Chinatown. His commitment to quality, gastronomic craftsmanship and philanthropy aligns perfectly with our values.”
