The Crystal Symphony has emerged from a $23 million dry dock, the
largest ever in Crystal Cruise Lines’ history. The comprehensive
refurbishment has transformed the ship’s staterooms and bathrooms,
completely reconstructed a social lounge and casino, refashioned
boutiques, shops and the famed Bistro café, among other
improvements.
The new construction project follows a multi-million dollar
renovation two years ago that debuted a brand-new Feng
Shui-inspired spa, a new Vintage Room today one of the ship’s most
popular features, an expanded Computer University@Sea, redesign of
specialty restaurants, and complete refurbishment of all penthouse
accommodations.
The staterooms aboard Crystal Symphony have been redesigned with
the look of a chic boutique hotel. Distinctive new appointments
include Murano glass bedside lamps, Rubelli fabrics and handsome
leather headboards. Special LED reading lights and new 20” LCD flat
screen televisions were also added. And, bathrooms have been
reconstructed with a contemporary style that includes oval glass
sinks atop granite countertops.
The Tiffany Deck, the ship’s main entertainment area on deck 6,
has been completely transformed with new color schemes, new
construction and new contemporary lighting that will create
different moods as day moves into night. The Starlite Club on the
Tiffany Deck now showcases a dramatic round bar in an open area
that offers panoramic sea views and Swarovski crystals that sparkle
on the window walls. The redesigned Crystal Casino features
dramatic black flooring and a new black and silver color palette.
And, a new nightclub, Luxe, features polished aluminum Phillipe
Stark bar stools, glass Bizzaza mosaics and a dramatic new lighting
system.
The popular Bistro Café has been enhanced with new decorative
tiles, new wall finishings and fresh upholstery all done in a warm
palette of russets and earth tones. And, the Computer University@Sea
has been outfitted with all new equipment and features wireless
access as well.
The Crystal Symphony kicks off 2007 with several Panama Canal and
Mexican Riviera cruises and then cruises to Asia and Europe.
