and then makes a seven-night South Atlantic crossing from Tenerife
to the Caribbean in November, where she’ll sail for the rest of the
year.
Launched in 1988, the Deutschland is a nine-deck ship whose art
deco and art nouveau decor recalls the grand days of ocean travel
of the 1920’s. The ship’s 286 staterooms (67 singles) are well
designed with elegant furnishings with burled wood finishes and
fully equipped bathrooms. The Deutschland’s three restaurants are
consistent award winners, and she also features sun decks, swimming
pools, bars, lounges, ballroom, a spa and fitness center.
Deilmann will once again offer special interest cruises in 2006,
with golf and garden cruise programs throughout the year, a musical
gala cruise celebrating Mozart’s 250th anniversary in October and
new equestrian riding programs in May, August and September. Prices
on the 2006 cruises start at $3,090 per person for an outside twin
cabin.
