Queen Mary 2, the world’s largest ocean liner, will
make her Los Angeles debut in February, on a trio of journeys
ranging in length from three to 38 days. The diverse itineraries
will afford West Coast residents their first opportunity to sail
aboard Queen Mary 2 from the Port of Los Angeles.
The February Los Angeles departures include two
round-trip journeys: a four-day West Coast Break and the 11-day
Royal Hawaiian Liner. The West Coast Break, from Feb. 22-25 makes a
full day call in Ensenada. Prices start at $709 per person, double
occupancy.
The Queen Mary 2 departs on Feb. 25 on the Royal
Hawaiian Liner, a round-trip sailing from Los Angeles to Maui, Oahu
and the Big Island. The cruise offers a myriad of shore
opportunities, such as horseback riding, hiking and historic
walking tours, as well as surf lessons and whale watching tours.
Prices start at $2,709 per person, double occupancy.
In May, the ship will depart Los Angeles for New
York on a 38-day South American Odyssey that includes a trip around
Cape Horn. A shorter segment, Andes and the Americas, journeys from
Los Angeles to Valparaiso over a two-week period, calling at
Callao, Peru (gateway to Lima); Esmeraldas, Ecuador (for Quito);
Fuerte Amador, Panama; Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica; and Acapulco.
Prices start at $3,259 per person, double occupancy.
