Hotel Hana-Maui to Host Small Groups

Feb 01, 2007

The Hotel Hana-Maui and Honua Spa, consistently rated as a top hotel for service, spa and luxury, announced it now hosts small to mid-sized meetings and events. "The Hotel Hana-Maui is an ideal location for executive and corporate retreats, small incentive programs, 'think-tank' meetings and pre and post extensions," said Bea Wolfe, director of marketing. "The seclusion of Hana, the lush surroundings and luxurious amenities enable attendees to decompress, focus on their meetings and experience old Hawaii."

The hotel caters to one group at a time so each meeting will feature personalized service. An on-site group coordinator takes care of everything, including planning services to assist with meetings and presentations, special events, outings, customized menus, and other requests. The hotel is optimum for a group of up to 100 people and/or up to 25 to 40 rooms.

The hotel offers an extensive menu of activities that can be customized, including spa services, horseback riding, jeep excursions, snorkeling cruises, games at Hana Ballpark, tours of local sites, and team-building exercises such as constructing a Hawaiian canoe and hosting events in nearby locations such as Ka Eleku Cavern.

Accommodations consist of 47 plantation-style Sea Ranch Cottages, including Oceanfront Suites, and 22 bungalow-style Bay Cottages. Rooms are appointed with private lanais, large soaking bathtubs, separate walk-in shower, telephones, a custom blend of fresh coffee beans, coffee grinder, coffee maker, mini refrigerator stocked with complimentary beverages, wet bar, separate seating area, hardwood floors, robes, in-room safe, Coyuchi organic cotton sheets and towels, feather beds, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and nightly turndown service.

The hotel offers several meeting locations and can accommodate up to 100 people seated in a theater style or 60 in a classroom setting. Meetings are held in the hotel's historic Plantation House. Other meeting rooms include the 1200 sq. foot Garden Pavilion and a small conference room for up to 8 people. The hotel’s award-winning Honua Spa, recently named No. 2 Hotel Spa in Hawaii by Travel + Leisure, is available for spa breaks.

Hana is accessible via the famous and recently upgraded Hana Highway, the "Road to Hana," a 57-mile winding and scenic drive from Kahului Airport considered one of the most spectacular in North America.
