MSC Cruises’ new MSC Seashore, launching this July (and slated for arrival in Miami in November 2021) will feature several fresh dining options for guests. Its onboard venues — including 12 indoor and six outdoor bars and lounges, as well as five specialty restaurants and four main dining rooms — have evolved substantially for MSC’s latest ship, the first Seaside EVO-class vessel since the original Seaside class was introduced in 2017.
“We have taken the dining experience on MSC Seashore to the next level, with carefully considered new options, both outdoors and in, that are fit for this spectacular flagship vessel,” said Jacques Van Staden, vice president of food and beverage for MSC, in a press release. “The goal of our talented in-house culinary team is to create something for every palate and preference, providing a diverse array of outstanding international culinary experiences. We are sure that the new dining concepts and incredible array of restaurants and bars will make for a truly memorable gastronomic experience for MSC Seashore guests.”
Chef’s Court is where the five specialty restaurants will be located — repositioned to deck eight along the waterfront promenade — including favorites such as Butcher's Cut and Kaito Sushi Bar. The steakhouse will newly offer an alfresco dining area, and the sushi bar will feature a conveyor belt from which guests can select sashimi, tempura and more.
Kaito Teppanyaki will be the largest on any MSC ship, showcasing eight interactive grills; and Ocean Cay will also be onboard for Mediterranean-style fish and seafood dishes. For the first time on a Seaside-class ship, Hola! Tacos & Cantina, with its Latin American and Mexican-inspired cuisine, will also be along for the ride.
Among the four main dining rooms will be one dedicated to Aurea passengers, and the MSC Yacht Club will continue to service ship-within-a-ship guests at its exclusive restaurant. Meanwhile, the Marketplace Buffet will be on hand for quick-service alternatives; it will be conveniently connected to the outdoor Sky Bar.
Speaking of bars, The Wine Cellar will be a new experience onboard Seashore, complete with a walk-through cellar and tastings. The new Chef’s Court Cocktail Bar will service the specialty restaurants, and The Uptown Lounge will combine libations and entertainment with live piano music. Rounding out the watering holes will be the rooftop Sky Bar and panoramic Horizon Bar; The Sports Bar (with a new billiard room); and the MSC Aurea Bar, in addition to the popular Venchi 1878 Gelato and Venchi 1878 Chocolate and Coffee Bar, plus the Champagne Bar, Shine Bar and Seashore Bar.
“At MSC Cruises, we are constantly looking to elevate our guests’ vacation experience,” said Ruben Rodriguez, president of MSC Cruises USA. “For MSC Seashore, we have reimagined the design to highlight a strong connection to the sea — the ship offers new venues, alfresco dining, brand-new restaurants and more outdoor space than any of our ships sailing from the U.S. We are thrilled to renew our commitment to delighting our guests in North America by bringing our newest and most innovative ships to the region. With nearly six months to go before MSC Seashore’s arrival in Miami in November, demand for cruising onboard this new ship continues to grow, and we expect it to accelerate as consumers plan their fall vacations.”
These dining options are all in addition to previously announced MSC Seashore features, such as a new Infinity Pool at the stern and side Infinity whirlpools, as well as a dual-depth Long Island Pool for swimming or wading near a 360-degree water fountain island, an enlarged magrodome-covered Jungle Pool area and the largest MSC Yacht Club in the fleet.
