Ahead of the launch of its Seven Seas Grandeur, luxury line Regent Seven Seas Cruises is previewing the new ship’s 15 categories of accommodations, observation lounge designs, and dining and itinerary options.
The 750-guest, 55,500-ton Grandeur will be a sister ship to Seven Seas Explorer and Seven Seas Splendor. Award-winning Studio Dado is designing the ship’s spaces.
“Following the recent unveiling of Seven Seas Grandeur’s breathtaking Compass Rose restaurant, which was extremely well received, we are delighted to reveal further features of the latest member of the world’s most luxurious fleet,” said Jason Montague, Regent’s president and CEO, in a press release. “In just over two short years, luxury travelers will have even more choices of ships to explore the world on, while enjoying the unrivaled Regent experience, starting with a wonderful selection of Caribbean and Mediterranean cruises. I am sure the itineraries will be tremendously popular when they go on sale soon.”
Grandeur’s Suites
The palatial 4,443-square-foot Regent Suite is the pinnacle of the ship’s accommodation options.
The highlight of the forward-facing Regent Suite is a sky-lit, glass-enclosed parlor furnished with a pair of chaise lounges for stunning daytime and evening views overlooking the bow. Also featured will be two bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, a living room and a bar, along with a dining room and an in-suite spa complete with a sauna, a steam room and a jetted bathtub, plus unlimited complimentary treatments.
Other categories will extend to the up-to-2,108-square-foot Master Suite, also with two bedrooms, a pair of bathrooms and upward of 994 square feet of balcony area. The 1,836-square-foot Grand Suite will highlight a large bedroom and two bathrooms, while the 918-square-foot Grandeur Suite will offer a bedroom, one-and-a-half bathrooms and a living room. The Seven Seas Suite will have a bedroom, a bathroom and a living room measuring 814 square feet.
Grandeur’s collection of Spacious Suites will comprise 644-square-foot Penthouse Suites with separate bedroom and seating areas, and 464-square-foot Concierge Suites (which includes complimentary pre-cruise hotel package) and Superior Suites.
Lastly, Deluxe Veranda and Veranda Suites will offer up to 361 square feet of space, including 108-square-foot balconies.
Observation Lounge and Dining
Also refreshed will be the ship’s classic observation lounge, dotted with alcove seating and crowned by an art nouveau-inspired mesh crystal chandelier.
The main Compass Rose will be receiving a redesign, and also along for the ride will be favorites — the Prime 7 steakhouse and Chartreuse for French cuisine — taking inspiration from turn-of-the-century New York and 1925 Paris and the art deco movement, respectively.
Inaugural Itineraries
Seven Seas Grandeur's inaugural 14-day sailing is scheduled for Nov. 25, 2023, from Barcelona to Miami, where it will embark on a weeklong Western Caribbean cruise ahead of a 16-night route ending in Los Angeles.
Another 16-night voyage will retrace its steps, and a 10-night sailing will again head to the Western Caribbean before a 12-night journey to the Eastern Caribbean and four 7- to 10-night alternating jaunts.
The ship will then make its way to New York on a 16-night repositioning trip followed by a 14-night transatlantic return to Europe, where its maiden Mediterranean season will first homeport from Barcelona and later Venice, Italy; Athens, Greece; and Istanbul. Inaugural season reservations can be currently booked.
