Seabourn has contracted prestigious hospitality designer Adam D. Tihany to create the indoor and outdoor guest areas of its new ship, due to launch in mid-2016.
“The new ship will be a bit larger, but it is based on the architectural structure of the three Odyssey-class ships,” said John Delaney, Seabourn’s senior vice president of marketing and sales. “That being said, Adam Tihany is bringing a whole new vision to the interiors that will become the future of Seabourn.”
Over the last 30 years, Tihany Design projects have included the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas, the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles and Hotel Cipriani in Venice, Italy. The designer has done restaurant projects for celebrity chefs including Daniel Boulud, Paul Bocuse and Wolfgang Puck. Tihany also designed spaces in Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice class ships and is currently working on design concepts for Holland America Line’s upcoming newbuild.
For Seabourn, Tihany is creating a vision for the entire vessel, including multiple dining venues, the spa, showrooms, casino and lounges as well as outdoor deck areas and the Seabourn Square. The new 604-passenger ship will have an additional deck and new public areas. All suites will have private verandas.
