Several Princess Cruises ships will temporarily depart California to sail the Alaskan summer season, but the Sapphire Princess will stay behind for the first time to offer itineraries from Los Angeles. Starting June 25, 2022, the ship will sail to Mexico, Hawaii and the California coast on a total of 16 voyages ranging in length from four to 16 days.
Cruises are currently on sale for the 2,670-guest MedallionClass ship, which features over 700 balconies, fine dining, exciting entertainment and the latest in Medallion wearable technology. The breakdown of available itineraries is as follows:
- Mexican Riviera with La Paz: Seven-day cruises calling on Cabo San Lucas, La Paz and Ensenada in Mexico. Departures take place June 25 and Sept. 3, 2022.
- Mexican Riviera with Puerto Vallarta: Seven-day cruises calling on Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada in Mexico. Departures include July 30 and Sept. 17, 2022.
- Baja Peninsula & Sea of Cortez: Ten-day cruises calling on Cabo San Lucas (with an overnight stay), La Paz, Loreto and Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. Departures are available Sept. 24 and Oct. 23, 2022.
- Classic California Coast: Seven-day cruises calling on San Francisco (with an overnight stay), San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico. Departures include July 23, Aug. 27 and Sept. 10, 2022.
- Hawaiian Islands: Fifteen- and 16-day cruises calling on Hilo, Honolulu, Kauai (Nawiliwili) and Maui (Kahului) in Hawaii, along with Ensenada in Mexico. Departures take place July 7 (16 days), Aug. 11 (16 days), Oct. 4 (15 days) and Nov. 2, 2022 (15 days).
- West Coast Getaway with San Francisco: Five-day cruises calling on San Francisco and Ensenada, Mexico. Departure dates include July 2 (with a late-night stay in San Francisco on July 4) and Aug. 6, 2022.
- West Coast Getaway with San Diego: Four-day cruise calling on San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico. Itinerary departs Oct. 19, 2022.
