As of Jan. 27, the largest cruise ship in the world is now Royal Caribbean International’s  Wonder of the Seas, which was officially delivered to the company. In anticipation of carrying its first guests, the brand has recently revealed an array of dining and drink options with more than 20 venues from which to choose.

All new on Wonder will be The Mason Jar, “where southern comfort food meets Royal Caribbean’s hospitality,” according to the line, and “invites guests to share a meal, drinks and memories in a warm, casual setting.”

Wonder of the Seas will energize cruising in a bolder and bigger way.

The farmhouse-style specialty restaurant’s atmosphere will extend to rustic decor, live country tunes and a porch complete with a swing photo-op, as well as dishes and beverages to match.

Meals will begin with buttermilk biscuits and jalapeno cornbread. Brunches will specifically feature Sweet-Tooth Cinnamon Rolls or johnnycakes finished with barbeque pulled pork. Then at dinner, plates will showcase the likes of fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, southern fried chicken and crab beignets with crab dip. Sweet sendoffs will further encompass traditional pies, as well as spiked floats and shakes.

More than a dozen American whiskeys will be available, plus a mint julep or Mississippi Moonlight that comprises blackberry moonshine, blackberries and lemonade poured in a Mason jar.

Meanwhile, The Vue Bar will serve as a new cantilevered pool bar crowned by a “colorful mosaic canopy,” and Giovanni's Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar will make its way to an Oasis-class ship for the first time. At the latter, guests will discover hand-tossed pizzas, charcuterie boards and veal meatballs, in addition to a robust wine list, wine flights and cocktails such as an Aperol spritz or a negroni.

Rounding out the featured dining venues will be Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade as the perfect spot to watch the big game while snacking and washing it all down with draft brews. El Loco Fresh and Cantina Fresca will also be on hand for tacos, burritos and quesadillas, in addition to a dedicated bar with agua fresca, margaritas and more. And The Lime & Coconut will continue as a series of poolside bars paired with live music.

Last but not least, favorite culinary staples such as Wonderland, Izumi, Chops Grille, 150 Central Park, Johnny Rockets, Starbucks and Sugar Beach will also be onboard.

“Wonder of the Seas will energize cruising in a bolder and bigger way,” said Jason Liberty, president and CEO of parent company Royal Caribbean Group. “Adding this ship to our already best-in-class fleet elevates the company in continuing to lead the industry with new features and innovation. This is one more way that we’re delivering world-class and memorable vacations, responsibly, to guests around the world.”

Wonder of the Seas will welcome passengers on its inaugural March 4, 2022, sailing from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
