Avanti Destinations has unveiled new independent travel packages that include special sightseeing during the winter season. The company has announced four short, flexible programs in Munich, Amsterdam, Venice and London, designed as convenient supplements to longer European vacations.
Each three-day program includes two-night stays at three-star properties with breakfast included as well as unique activities and the opportunity for additional nights and four-star hotels. In Munich, clients traveling in March can book Avanti’s Strong Beer Festival program during which participants can sample the city’s strongest brews alongside Bavarian food and festivities. This add-on vacation reflects the 300-year-old practice of Bavarian Paulaner monks and includes dinner at Restaurant Ratskeller, a reserved table at the Paulaner Nockherberg Brewery and more, starting at a rate of $265.
The Venice Carnival package highlights Venice’s open-air festival from Feb. 11-21, immersing clients in the 11th-century culture with a private gondola ride featuring sparkling wine, carnival masks and a private walking tour of the city’s small alleyways and bridges, from $619.
For easy sightseeing through busy London, Avanti’s London Winterness program includes a London Oyster Card for flexible travel on busses, subways and trains. The package, which starts at $405, also includes a Vintage Red London Bus Tour covering the city’s most popular attractions, entry at the London Eye, a cruise on the River Thames and the chance to witness the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.
Clients planning on a Netherlands vacation can add the capital city to their agenda with the Amsterdam Winterness package, priced from $319. The program features a visit to the Van Gogh museum with immediate entrance to avoid the hassle of long admission lines, plus a Historic City Tour by bike and a canal Bus Day Pass for easy sightseeing on a 14-stop, hop-on hop-off boat trip.
