New for 2014 at Universal

Universal Orlando’s hotel offerings will nearly double when Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort opens in 2014, providing 1,800 more rooms and suites for park-goers. The retro-inspired property will boast a themed lazy river, a 10-lane bowling alley and two pool areas with sandy beaches.

Also slated for 2014 is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley, an expansion in Universal Studios Florida that sprang from the original land in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Potter buffs can walk through Diagon Alley, where they will find shops, a restaurant and a feature attraction inspired by Gringotts bank. Diagon Alley guests will also be able to visit Hogsmeade and Hogwarts in Universal’s Islands of Adventure via the Hogwarts Express train. www.universalorlando.com
