Classic Vacations Launches Travel Smart

Jul 06, 2006

Always looking for new ways to benefit travel agents and clients, Classic Vacations has introduced its new Travel Smart Plan. Travelers enjoy expanded protection before and during their vacation, while agents receive the enhanced insurance and waiver program that includes commission protection.

“The Travel Smart Plan is the most competitive and comprehensive coverage of its type in the industry,” said Gregg Brockway, president of Classic Vacations. “These innovations enhance agent profitability and make traveling for their clients as enjoyable and worry-free as possible.”

With bookings from June 12 that include the Travel Smart Plan, qualified agents can cover 50 percent of their commission, even if the trip is canceled. The program features a tiered pricing structure and starts at just $49, with increases based on the per-adult package cost.

Children under 18 traveling in the party are free. Anyone already booked before June 12, 2006 using Classic’s previous Change and Cancellation Waiver program will continue to be covered under the terms of that plan.

Classic’s new Travel Smart Plan is filled with a wide range of client and agent benefits, including a generous commission protection program for qualified travel agents, price protection, and trip change and cancellation fee coverage.

Working with Travel Guard International, the program covers medical care for illness or injury, emergency medical evacuation, prescription assistance, 24-hour legal assistance, trip interruption protection, baggage loss coverage and more.

In addition, agents have exclusive access to the Classic Hawaii Concierge with all Hawaii bookings that include the plan.
