Family Travel Package

May 06, 2004
According to a 2003 YPB&R Survey, the family travel market has increased by more that 12 percent over the past three years. At the same time, luxury destinations around the globe have been transforming their properties and services to truly embrace that market. In an effort to blend the two, Classic Custom Vacations has announced its exclusive Let’s Go Together program to help families find and experience the perfect luxury vacation.

According to Suzi LeVine, vice president of marketing for Classic Custom Vacations, the new program was created to make luxury travel more convenient and accessible.

“We designed the Let’s Go Together program to tap into the core needs of family travelers by providing special offers and valuable information to help them research and plan their ideal luxury vacation,” noted LeVine. “For example, many families need more than one room in order to accommodate everyone, plus they want entertainment and kid-friendly services, she explained. Other families want to stay in a condo or villa and enjoy the comforts of home combined with the lush services and amenities of a resort.”

Available at select hotels in all five of Classic’s destinations (Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean, America and Europe), the Let’s Go Together program features such benefits as a 50 percent discount on a second room, an age-appropriate welcome amenity basket for kids, complimentary meals for kids 12 and under, up to five complimentary hours of in-room video games and even cookies and milk at turndown.

LeVine stated that the luxury experience begins even before guests arrive thanks to special discounted rates on airfare and car rentals. Families get up to 40 percent off all rates to Hawaii on Aloha Airlines or up to 10 percent off first-class rates to Hawaii through Hawaiian Airlines. Once they arrive, clients will receive a special Hertz offer for free car seats and an upgrade from a mini-van to an SUV.

The Let’s Go Together program is available exclusively through Classic, and is valid for bookings made by June 30 for travel through Dec. 15.

“We want families to enjoy the luxury travel experience, and with the Let’s Go Together offer, they can find their home away from home whether it is at a private condo or villa or at a first-class resort,” said LeVine. “Kids will love the special VIP treatment, parents will love the added value and everyone will enjoy a memorable family vacation.”

Big Island hotels and resorts featured in the Let’s Go Together promotion are Aston Shores at Waikoloa, Aston Waikoloa Colony, Mauna Lani Bay Villas, Outrigger Fairway Villas and Hilton Waikoloa Village. On Maui, properties include the Hyatt Regency Maui, Sheraton Maui, Aston Kaanapali Shores, Castle Kamaole Sands, Kea Lani Villas, Outrigger Maui Eldorado, Outrigger Napili Shores, Outrigger Palms and Outrigger Royal Kahana.

Those visiting Oahu will find Let’s Go Together at the Aston Sunset, Aston Waikiki Beach Tower and Sheraton Waikiki. On Kauai, featured properties are Aston Poipu Kai, Aston Waimea Plantation Cottages, Embassy Vacation Resort Poipu Point, Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation and Sheraton Kauai. Lanai’s Manele Bay Hotel is also included.
