New Ocean Center Wedding Packages

Jun 03, 2004
Maui Ocean Center has announced a selection of new romance options that range from underwater marriage proposals, rehearsal dinners and receptions to a choice of indoor, outdoor and underwater wedding ceremonies. Those wanting to tie the knot in an unusual way can customize these options to fit their tastes and budgets.

“Hawaii’s one of the top locations for destination weddings, and couples are always looking for new and different places for their ceremony and reception,” remarked Lori Mellenbruch, Group Sales Manager for the center. “Maui Ocean Center combines all the best parts of the islands, ocean and mountain views, amazing marine life, incredible food and the true aloha spirit.”

Marriage Proposals: The Center will customize a special underwater sign to be displayed by a diver at the Open Ocean Exhibit, timed with a couple’s arrival. Rate: $150.

Rehearsal Dinners: Couples may select from sites with ocean or mountain views, the center’s Open Ocean Exhibit or the Living Reef Building. Mellenbruch will assist with planning the evening and menu. Rates vary.

Packages include lei greetings for all guests, buffet or plated meals, complete aquarium tour with marine naturalists, special diver presentation, tables, chairs, linens and house centerpieces.
