Maverick Helicopters has entered the Hawaii flightseeing market with three tours over Maui. Maverick’s marketing vice president Bryan Kroten told TravelAge West that Hawaii is a natural fit for the company. It also operates in the popular tourist destinations of Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon in Arizona.
“We’re known for providing our guests with the ultimate bucket-list experience, so offering flights over Maui definitely stays true to that mission,” Kroten said. “We see huge growth potential in both Maui and Hawaii.”
Maverick’s 60 to 70-minute Maui Dream tour (starting at $399 per person) flies over the entire island. The 55 to 65-minute Molokai Voyage tour ($369) takes passengers above highlights of Maui and neighboring Molokai, while the 40 to 50-minute Maui Spirit tour ($329) hovers over Haleakala National Park and Hana, home of stunning seascapes. Maverick also customizes private charters.
Calling its aircraft “limousines in the sky,” Kroten said Maverick is the only company in Hawaii exclusively flying EC130 Eco-Star aircraft. Each pilot not only flies the chopper but serves as a tour guide, concierge and overall ambassador during the flight.
The seven-person Eco-Star features voice-activated headsets, theater-style leather seating and wraparound windows.
When pitching Maverick to their clients, travel planners should mention its exceptional safety record and industry standards for pilots, Kroten added.
“Maverick Helicopters has worked with travel agents from all over the world since its inception,” Kroten said. “If an agent liked our service in Las Vegas or the Grand Canyon, they’ll also be pleased with our service in Hawaii.”
