PoipuWestern agents planning visits to Kauai this fall can stay at
the 60-unit oceanfront Poipu Kapili at reduced rates.
From Nov. 1 to Dec. 18 excluding Thanksgiving week, the South
Kauai condominium resort is offering agents a 25% discount off rack
rates and every third night free.
Meanwhile, Poipu Kapili recently introduced the Stop and Smell
the Flowers package, good on visits through Dec. 20.
Designed for clients who want to relax and unwind on a fall
vacation, the package provides accommodations in a one-bedroom
unit, tropical flowers in the room and a guided tour of the
National Tropical Botanical Garden. Clients also get a convertible
rental car for the duration and a night at the movies at the Waimea
Theater.
The five-night Stop and Smell the Flowers package is $1,290,
with seven nights for $1,499.
All units at Poipu Kapili feature an entertainment center with a
television, a stereo, a VCR, a private lanai and a fully equipped

Coffee & Sugar Marathon
Attention runners: The first Kauai Marathon is scheduled for
Mar. 16, 2003. Winding through sugar cane and coffee fields, the
26.2-mile footrace starts and finishes in Poipu on the South Shore
of the island. Along the way, participants jog along scenic
four-wheel-drive dirt roads, up and down a series of four
challenging hills.
All finishers receive T-shirts, medals and certificates. Awards
go to first-, second- and third-place finishers in male and female
age groups.
A half marathon is scheduled for the same day.
