Where to Travel in January

Dec 04, 2012

To cure the post-holiday blues, many people seek the comfort of a warm beach or a cool chalet. If this is on the menu for your clients, you may be asking yourself where are the best places to travel in January. We have rounded up a selection of great travel deals that your clients can take advantage of in the New Year and beyond.

Aston Hotels & Resorts
At Aston’s 27 hotels and condominium resorts, clients can choose from the best of both worlds. They can warm up on a Hawaiian Island or cool off in Lake Tahoe and — yes, even Las Vegas.

In Hawaii, rates on Kauai start at $99; Oahu from $116; Maui from $139; and Hawaii Island (Big Island) from $220.

In Lake Tahoe, skiers can stay for just $139 a night, and in Lake Las Vegas rooms start at $95.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts

Fairmont is warming things up for those in colder climes this winter. The hotel company is offering a variety of packages for both sun lovers and those seeking a temperate escape.

Guests can book a Fairmont suite and receive a $100 Resort Reward daily; book a Partial Ocean View, Ocean View, Poolside, Deluxe Ocean View or Signature Kilohana suite and receive a $250 Resort Reward daily; or book a Villa and receive a $400 Resort Reward, daily. Available for stays through Sunday, June 30, 2013, rates start at $499 per night.

The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and guests can book the Sip, Savor & Celebrate Package with rates starting at $249. Guests will receive a $100 credit per day, which can be applied toward dining, spa treatments or tennis. The package is available now through April 30.

If clients are interested in heading to the Caribbean, they can stay at The Fairmont Royal Pavilion on Barbados’ Platinum Coast. With the 7th Night Free package, which starts at $1,059, they can take advantage of complimentary activities and services include non-motorized water sports, daily afternoon tea, Wi-Fi, fitness center access and the opportunity to swim with turtles.

One way to truly escape the winter is to head somewhere where it is summer. South Africa is the perfect winter destination for those dwelling in the Northern Hemisphere, and The Fairmont Zimbali Lodge & Resort is offering the Wish You Were Here package, including accommodation and daily breakfast along with a daily Fairmont Cocktail Hour beverage. Rates start at $96 per person, double occupancy.
