Beaches Sandy Bay Transitions to Sandy Bay Beach Resort

For 15 years, travel agents have booked their family clients into Beaches Sandy Bay, an all-inclusive resort managed by Sandals Resorts International. At the end of September, however, Beaches Sandy Bay will close its doors. After a 30-day period of refurbishing, training and transition, it will reopen as Sandy Bay Beach Resort, prepared to welcome guests starting in November. The resort will be operated by its original developers, Poinciana Resorts Ltd. Sandy Bay Beach Resort will be an all-inclusive property for the general market, singles, couples and families.

Much of the current staff will remain with the resort.

Sandy Bay Beach Resort offers two fresh water pools, three restaurants plus a beach grill, a kids club, a spa and a nightclub. The 128-rooms are divided into nine categories including two-bedroom beachfront suites, one bedroom honeymoon suites, and premium oceanside rooms perfect for singles, couples, families and groups. Rates start at $181 per person, per night based on double occupancy, representing a grand opening savings of more than 50 percent; children age twelve and under are $32 per night.

AskMeInc, a sales and marketing company for hotels and destinations, announced that Sandy Bay Beach Resort in Negril, Jamaica has joined its portfolio of clients. AskMeInc will partner with the hotel’s marketing team to increase awareness, sales and partnerships with tour operators and travel agents. To launch the new partnership, AskMeInc will hold a webinar for travel agents on September 13th at noon to re-introduce this boutique beachfront resort to the travel industry.
