Grand Residences Riviera Cancun is a newly opened all-suite resort and an affiliate of the Leading Hotels of the World collection. Riviera Cancun is a relatively new geographical term for the beach area separating bustling Cancun from the more scenic and laid-back Riviera Maya.
The beachfront, 103-room, all-suite property features suites designed as private residences, all with private outdoor terraces.
While incorporating household conveniences and niceties into its suites, Grand Residences also includes all the luxurious amenities of a five-star resort, including gourmet dining, a world-class spa and salon and personalized beach and pool service. Mayan traditions are incorporated into the guest experience with touches such as locally made artisanal gifts at each turndown service and a Mayan good-luck pendant bestowed upon each woman at check-in. Active guests can snorkel the world’s second largest coral reef or explore extensive underground rivers.
Industry veteran Carlo Bicaci has been appointed general manager to oversee the resort’s launch. In his new role, Bicaci will direct all aspects of the resort’s opening, leading a team of 250 resort associates. Bicaci has 35 years of experience leading more than 20 international hotels and launching more than 15 premier restaurants.
“Carlo is an incredible asset to the Grand Residences Riviera Cancun team,” said Mark Carney, chief sales and marketing officer for Royal Resorts, Grand Residences’ parent company. “With him at the helm, we are confident that the resort will be poised for success as a leader in the luxury lifestyle category.”
Opening promotional rates at Grand Residences Riviera Cancun begin at $289 per night in a junior suite in addition to resort-plus credits starting at $100 per day.
