Seclusion and unspoiled natural beauty have always been key selling points for Hanalei Colony Resort on Kauai’s north shore.
But sometimes the area’s two-lane roads — including seven one-lane bridges — get congested. To help guests explore the region, the 48-room property has launched a shuttle service that transports clients to and from various points of interest.
The 13-passenger van operates daily on a pre-set schedule, serving nearby beaches and Hanalei town on a complimentary basis. In the evening, the shuttle costs $10 per adult for trips to Hanalei and the shops and resorts of Princeville, providing multiple options for dining and entertainment. After their excursions, Hanalei Colony guests can resume relaxing in their unplugged digs, with no phones, televisions or stereos to distract them from their peaceful surroundings. www.hcr.com
