If money can’t buy you happiness, it can at least get you a stunning 4,500-square-foot, beachfront villa in Los Cabos. Las Ventanas al Paraiso, a Rosewood Resort will debut 12 new residential-style beachfront villas — the first of its kind for the destination — on Dec. 15. The villas start at $4,500 per night, and reservations are currently open for booking.
Las Ventanas al Paraiso just raised the bar for luxury resorts in Los Cabos, Mexico, which is saying a lot since affluent visitors tend to splurge on the destination’s top properties such as the One&Only Palmilla and Esperanza.
Las Ventanas’ 12 new one-, two- and three-bedroom beachfront villas represent a $55 million project that began this past spring. The villas have their own point of entry and, while they are located within the Las Ventanas property, they feel very self-contained and removed from the main hub. The size of a one-bedroom villa starts at a whopping 4,500 square feet — and that’s in addition to a 1,800-square-foot exterior. As soon as clients enter the oversize front door, they are treated to en-suite, complimentary massages and a bottle of Clase Azul tequila. But that’s just the beginning. Each villa is equipped with a 24-hour private butler who will whip up margaritas and fresh guacamole anytime a guest calls in the request via the villa’s personal mobile phone. Guests can also call in the resort chef to arrange a private dinner. With 24-hour room service and access to a private beach area, your clients may not ever want to leave.
A one-bedroom beachfront villa includes a large entryway with a floor-to-ceiling glass wall and unobstructed views of the beach, a separate bedroom with a television and a fireplace, a walk-in closet with sensor lights, a fully equipped kitchen, a large living area with a flat-screen television and built-in speakers, a second bathroom and a separate media room or wellness room. The main bathroom features dual-vanity sinks, a stand-alone bathtub, an indoor/outdoor glass rain shower, Bulgari amenities and a separate, glass-encased outdoor rain shower complete with stone floors and lush palms.
The expansive, private outdoor area features an infinity pool with a built-in hot tub. Guests also have two deck areas with lounge chairs and direct beach access. The walls of both the bedroom and living room are sliding glass doors that open up the space, offering a fluid outdoor/indoor design.
From Dec. 15 to Jan. 4, 2014, rates start at $5,175 per night. From Jan. 5 to Dec. 18, 2014 rates start at $4,500 per night. The 22,000-square-foot master villa, scheduled to open March 2014, will start at $30,000 a night and will include an 80-foot infinity pool (which is bigger than the resort’s main pool), a customized firework display and a live band to play every night for the guests.
