The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced the opening of its first property in Greece — the Radisson Blu Park Hotel, Athens. Formerly the Athens Park Hotel, the property underwent a full renovation that began in 2010, with further work scheduled for 2012 that will increase the number of guestrooms and create additional meeting facilities.
Situated across from Athens’ largest park, the hotel’s new design incorporates nature-inspired decor combined with urban accents to reflect its location in the city. All 152 guestrooms and suites draw on the inspiration provided by the nearby park, and also feature such services as free wireless Internet access, individual climate control, marble bathrooms, soundproof windows and natural bath amenities. The hotel is also within walking distance of various Athens attractions, including the National Archaeological Museum, the Hellenic Motor Museum, the Acropolis and the Parliament.

Other features of the new hotel include a variety of options for dining and relaxation. With four on-site restaurants, guests can choose from an all-day cafe, the Gallo Nero Italian bar and restaurant, a rooftop sushi restaurant and St. Astra Roof Garden barbecue fusion restaurant, which offers summertime dining and views of the Acropolis. In addition, Radisson Blu Park Hotel, Athens also offers access to its fitness center with sauna and steam bath, as well as a rooftop swimming pool where visitors can take in views of the city.
