With Outrigger Hotels and Resorts’ newly upgraded travel agent education and loyalty program, certified agents who were previously called “specialists” are now dubbed “experts.” Introduced in 2009, the Outrigger Specialist Program has been renamed Outrigger Expert Agent to place greater emphasis on the agent’s achievements and knowledge.
That’s only one of several enhancements to the program, which also features a new technology platform for its agent training experience.
Among the new portal’s upgrades is its user-friendliness. Agents have access to a richer training experience, and they can easily view their learning course history and offerings. The accessibility feature also allows Outrigger to update its training materials more easily and quickly.
To celebrate the program’s re-launch, Outrigger is running a promotion called Double Learning Course Rewards. Outrigger-certified agents who complete any of five optional Hawaii courses and quizzes before Jan. 31 receive double reward points. Agents can also earn two Continuing Education Units if they successfully complete each of the five learning courses.
