Kauai Beach Resort, a member of Aqua Hotels and Resorts, recently introduced some exciting upgrades to its food and beverage experience. Revamped menus appeal to a greater diversity of ages and demographics, with dishes ranging from home-grown comfort foods to healthy fare. A six-foot circular fire pit has been added to Shutters Fireside Lounge, creating a cozy outdoor gathering place for guests during the day and evening. The updated Shutters Cafe now features an executive lounge ambience with free Wi-Fi access, newspapers and flat-screen televisions, and the cafe’s current menu offers espresso drinks, fresh-baked goods, fruit and yogurt parfaits and breakfast sandwiches. The plantation-style indoor/outdoor Naupaka Terrace has been brightened by panels of custom-glass artworks as well as handsome batik pieces by revered Hawaii artist Yvonne Cheng. All told, the changes have taken this east-side hotel to an appetizing new level.
