When the bellman at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach came to my room on one of the upper floors, he immediately made a beeline to the window.

“Whenever I come up to one of these rooms, I can’t help but take a second to admire the view,” he said. “It’s just something you never get tired of.”

We were standing by the window staring in awe at Waikiki Beach and the Pacific Ocean spread out in front of us. It’s the kind of vista that visitors to the islands dream of experiencing.

Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach has the perfect oceanfront location at the center of Waikiki and now, in addition to the view, guests can experience a range of upgrades, including a remodeled pool and expanded pool deck area as well as upgraded guestrooms and suites.

Stylish and Tropical
The Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach features 524 newly renovated guestrooms and corner suites with views of Diamond Head, the Pacific Ocean or city views of Waikiki.

All guestrooms received new carpet, furniture, draperies and paint, and all oceanfront rooms and suites also received new glass lanai railings, which help highlight the views.

The rooms feature warm earth tones, including deep greens and gold, woven into the pineapple carpet patterns, tropical bedding and artworks by local Waikiki artists. Additionally, the interior corridors of the hotel have been enhanced with a custom carpet pattern depicting kalo (taro) leaves as well as other Hawaiian touches. The hotel has also installed improved soundproofing between rooms for added privacy.

The new oceanfront swimming pool is surrounded by a new pool deck tiled in natural stone. Also, added is a new glass surround for unobstructed ocean views.

Guests of the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach can also enjoy the hotel’s Fee Free Escape program, which offers a number of complimentary amenities, including free high-speed Internet access, free local and long-distance domestic telephone calls to the U.S. Mainland and Canada, a daily newspaper, use of the fitness center (open 24 hours) and complimentary cultural activities.

Also, with renovations now complete, the hotel’s free vow renewal ceremony has returned, allowing guests to renew their vows in an oceanfront setting twice a week. Couples must sign up at the hotel’s concierge desk by 3 p.m. the day prior to the ceremony.

For visitors to Oahu — especially first-time visitors — the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach provides an ideal location. Here, they can find easy access to  many of the iconic experiences they imagined before coming to Hawaii, from taking in the nightlife of Waikiki to enjoying sunsets over the ocean.
