Our jobs just got a little easier. Almost every week we get a
request from an agent or supplier asking us for a copy of an
article they saw in TAW. We always do our best to track down the
issue and send the article, even if it takes us awhile to find it.
Well that won’t be necessary from here on out, however, because
last week we launched TravelAgeWest.com, our new Web site.
One of the many special features of the new site is that every
issue of the magazine will be posted, so if you’re looking for an
article, it should be readily available online. In addition, our
home page will feature regular “Web Exclusives” original stories
and photos that can only be found online. (Our current exclusive is
a first-hand report on Thailand from photojournalist Mark Edward
Harris.)
Along with enhanced editorial content, agents will find free
marketing tools as well, including electronic postcards,
customizable electronic brochures, supplier links and destination
newsletters. The tools are easy to use and will help you take your
marketing efforts to a new level.
Finally, be sure to go online and enter our frequent “Click &
Win” contests for a chance to win free travel. Our current contest
is for a five-night, all-inclusive stay at Sandals resorts. (Sign
me up!)
The staff here is very excited about this new site and not just
because it will save us time sending out articles. Over the past
few months we’ve worked closely with the site’s programmers,
planning and designing every aspect of TravelAgeWest.com in order
to provide the kind of in-depth destination coverage, industry
insights and free marketing tools that will help your business
succeed.
Most important, however, we believe our new Web site is in keeping
with our mission of helping agents stay ahead of the curve and
exploring the frontier of travel. Even if in this case the frontier
is virtual.
