The Los Angeles Times Travel Show has introduced a new trade day to its travel show lineup. The Los Angeles Times Travel Show Industry Conference, which will take place Jan. 27, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., is an all-new trade-only day, designed for travel-trade professionals, including travel agents, meeting planners, hotels, airlines, consortiums, line agents, home-based agents and agency owners.
The agenda includes individual travel industry organization conferences; a Q&A with industry leaders; a keynote address; panel discussions on topics including cruising, experiential and adventure travel, gay and lesbian travel, agency owners, specialization, luxury travel, social media and Asia; a travel trade show; a reception; and more.
Keynote speakers include John Severini, president, California Travel Association; Caroline Betea, president, California Travel & Tourism Commission; Suzanne Tanzman, president, California Coalition of Travel Organizations. In addition, a keynote luncheon will feature Peter Yesawich, chairman of Ypartnership.
The program was developed in collaboration with travel and tourism industry leaders, including California Coalition of Travel Organizations, ASTA, PATA, Ensemble, ATTA, ARTA, APTA, CTA, CTTC, Tripology/Rand McNally, SATW, Ypartnership, Tourism Cares and IGLTA.
The Los Angeles Times Travel Show will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from Jan. 27-29.
