In September, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection will launch its second new ship for 2009, the all-suite River Tosca. The ship’s 41 suites feature French balconies and are more than 300 square feet in size, with original Egyptian artwork and marble floors in the bathrooms. The Tosca also features two Presidential suites that are more than 650 square feet in size with large private terraces. The sun deck has a swimming pool lined with cabanas and a Jacuzzi and there is a fully equipped gym, a library and boutique, with nightly entertainment in the rooftop bar.
Through July, couples can save up to $1,500 on cruise/land only or up to $2,000 on cruise/land/air on the Splendors of Egypt & the Nile package. The cruise features classic Egyptian sights, including the pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. Guests can enjoy a seven-night roundtrip cruise along the Nile on River Tosca and four nights in Cairo. The offer applies to new bookings made by July 31.
“With the launch of the River Tosca in September and the River Beatrice in March this year, this clearly demonstrates Uniworld’s strong financial strength and the commitment of our ownership to grow the company and position Uniworld at the very high end of the river cruise market,” said Guy Young, president of Uniworld.
A substantial savings program is also available in Europe. Couples can save up to $2,000 in 2010 by paying in full for their Europe river cruises before Sept. 30. In addition, a 50 percent discount is offered for cruisers ages eight to 18 booked on multigenerational family cruises on Castles along the Rhine, and Paris and Normandy.
Wine and food connoisseurs can choose the added value of the Epicurean Adventurer Program on 10 itineraries, including Burgundy and Provence, Enchanting Danube, Legendary Rhine, and Grand European Discovery, enjoying private wine tastings, cooking demonstrations and a special wine and food pairing dinner.
Virtually everything is included in the price of a Uniworld cruise from a riverview stateroom to all meals onboard, with complimentary fine wine, beer and soft drinks during dinner; a 24-hour specialty coffee and tea bar; shore excursions fully hosted by English-speaking local guides, bicycles, onboard signature lectures; local entertainment; and all transfers on arrival and departure.
Uniworld offers 26 cruises ranging in length from nine to 32 days. New for 2010 is the seven-night Springtime Along the Rhine itinerary from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, to Frankfurt, Germany, priced from $1,599. Pre- and post-cruise optional land packages explore Amsterdam; Brussels, Belgium; Istanbul, Turkey; London; Lucerne, Switzerland; Madrid, Spain; Munich, Germany; Paris; Prague, Czech Republic; and Vienna, Austria.
