After christening Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection’s 160-passenger River Beatrice in Nuremberg, Germany, namesake and godmother Beatrice Tollman, founder and president of sister company Red Carnation Hotel Collection, sailed with the ship on March 24. In attendance were Guy Young, president of Uniworld; Christine Sustreanu, director of European operations; Mike Ness, CEO of The Travel Corporation (the parent company of Uniworld) and the entire Tollman family.

The new ship has all outside staterooms, most with French balconies. Standard staterooms are 150 square feet and there are 14 suites with 225 square feet and one owner’s suite at 300 square feet. All have hotel-style, made-to-order English Savoir beds with Egyptian cotton linens and cashmere wool blankets. Bathrooms feature L’Occitane aromatherapy bath products, towels from Christie’s of Manchester, plush robes and slippers. Rooms also feature flat-screen televisions, Wi-Fi, safes, telephones and individual climate control. Suites have additional bathtubs, fresh fruit and personal coffee makers.

The River Beatrice also boasts: an elevator, a restaurant and bar, a lounge with panoramic views, a fitness center, a sauna and Jacuzzi, a beauty salon, a library, a boutique, a sundeck and laundry facilities. Clients also have access to complimentary bicycles that are available for exploring the countryside and complimentary wine, beer and soda are served with dinner.

The River Beatrice sails a nine-day Enchanting Danube program from Budapest, Hungary, to Passau, Germany. In November and December, she will sail the nine-day Danube Holiday Markets itinerary. All Uniworld Boutique River Collection river cruises in Europe include a complimentary shore excursion per person in each port. Both routes benefit from Uniworld’s two-for-one air offer and a $300 per couple savings. Pricing is from $1,799 per person, cruise-only.
