Anchorage Introduces Gold Card Program

In celebration of Alaska’s 50th anniversary, the Anchorage Convention & Visitor’s Bureau has launched its new Gold Card program. Designed to reward visitors for choosing to stay in Anchorage, the Gold Card program allows visitors to save money while enhancing their experience of the city. With a Gold Card in hand, visitors are eligible for upgrades, discounts and/or special offers at participating local businesses.

Gold Card perks are diverse and appeal to a broad audience. The Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum is giving free aviation heritage posters to all visitors with a Gold Card. Card holders visiting the Anchorage Museum will receive a free gift at the museum’s “Gold” gift shop. Flattop Shuttle is providing complimentary ice cream and bottled water to card holders on its $22 shuttle to Flattop. Gold Card offerings are added and updated daily at www.Anchorage.net/Gold.

Visitors can obtain their Gold Card in two ways. If they are staying in a hotel or bed and breakfast in Anchorage for more than two nights, they will automatically receive their Gold Card upon check in. Visitors who are staying with friends and family can pick up a Gold Card at the Log Cabin Visitor Information Center, and can take advantage of all the savings and bonuses the Cold Card program has to offer.
