Papillon Airways, which offers tours from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon, recently scrapped its pricing structure and created a new one based on consumers’ desire to experience more while spending less. With its new, streamlined structure, which offers a drop in pricing by 20 percent, the company has seen sales increase by more than 60 percent since Nov. 1, 2009.
Guests booking tours now select if they would like to travel by helicopter, airplane or bus from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon. From there, they have the option to upgrade, whether it be traveling during sunset or adding adventure components such as ATV, jeep, pontoon tours or walking on the Grand Canyon’s Skywalk. These new options give guests control over their experience and breakaway from Papillon’s previous packaged options.
Pricing for helicopter tours starts at $153 per adult. Airplane tours begin at $127, and traveling via motorcoach is $140 per adult. Upgrades, for a sunset tour or Skywalk tour start, for example, are $40. Jeep tours, horseback riding, ATVs and kayaking add-ons are $129.
