A variety of programs in Utah’s national parks will offer added incentives for visiting these state highlights this spring and beyond.
Through November, join the 2013 Artist in the Park, Sarah Hamingson, in Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Hamingson will mingle with visitors at viewpoints, sharing her artistic inspiration and love of pastels in this beautiful setting.
In Arches National Park, evening programs will be held nightly at 9 p.m. through June 1. These 45-minute programs focus on a variety of topics; visitors can check with the Arches National Park visitor center for topics and times. Daily ranger-led hikes will also take place in the park until June 1, at 11:30 a.m., with an additional hike offered at 1:30 p.m. until May 18.
Evening programs will be held most nights in the Needles District campground amphitheater at Squaw Flats Campground, on a variety of topics. The hour-long presentations can cover desert plants, cowboys & explorers or astronomy.
Other hiking and presentation programming opportunities will also be available in Utah’s national parks.
