On May 29, TravelAge West held its first Travel Agent Advisory Board meeting of 2020, which brought together the magazine’s staff with eight travel advisor board members: Donna Alkarmi of Lone Star Travel; Brianna Glenn of Milk + Honey Travels; Steve Orens and Leslie Wahlgren of Plaza Travel; Hope Smith of Born to Travel; Lynda Turley of Alpine Travel; David Van Ness of All-Travel; and Melissa Varela of Modern Romance Travel.
During the virtual event, the board discussed how business models have changed during thecoronavirus pandemic, and what a return to travel may look like.
“This was a great mash-up session to see what other leaders in our industry are doing to stay afloat, and what is needed to bring back responsible business,” said Alkarmi of Lone Star Travel.
