Tourism partners, hotel operators and attractions were honored by CIE Tours at its 32nd annual Awards of Excellence celebration, which was held last month at the Dublin Royal Convention Center in Ireland. The event recognizes partner companies that have contributed to its overall success, and awards are given out based on feedback from some 25,000 guests who traveled with the company last year.
“Our more than 90 years of experience gives us unrivalled expertise in coach tourism,” said Stephen Cotter, interim managing director of CIE Tours. “Last year exceeded our expectations, with 36,000 people traveling with us to Ireland, England and Scotland, plus our new destinations of Iceland and Italy added in 2019.”
Top honors were given in categories such as Best Five-Star Hotel (won by Dromoland Castle); Best Walking Tour (awarded to Historic Stroll Kinsale Walking Tours); and Best Hotel Service & Hospitality (given to The Dunraven Adare), among others.
